I’Ching är det äldsta verket i klassisk kinesisk litteratur och filosofi. Språkforskare har konstaterat att de första texterna kan vara skrivna omkring 900-talet f.k. I väst har psykiatern C G Jung funnit stöd för sina teorier om synkronicitet:
" ... En viss nyfiken princip som jag har kallat synkronicitet, ett begrepp som formulerar en synpunkt diametralt motsatt den i kausalitet. Eftersom den senare är en rent statistisk sanning och inte absolut, det är ett slags arbetshypotes om hur händelser utvecklas en av en annan, medan Synkronicitetet tar tillfällighet av händelser i tid och rum som betyder något mer än ren slump..."

I'Ching is the oldest piece in the classical Chinese literature and philosophy. Linguists have found that the first texts can be written approximately 900s BC In the West, the psychiatrist CG Jung found support for his theories of synchronicity:
"...A certain curious principle that I have termed synchronicity, a concept that formulates a point of view diametrically opposed to that of causality. Since the latter is a merely statistical truth and not absolute, it is a sort of working hypothesis of how events evolve one out of another, whereas synchronicity takes the coincidence of events in space and time as meaning something more than mere chance.
The Chinese mind, as I see it at work in the I Ching, seems to be exclusively preoccupied with the chance aspect of events. What we call coincidence seems to be the chief concern of this peculiar mind, and what we worship as causality passes almost unnoticed."
